Accessing and Using AltFee Template Library

Step-by-Step Instruction Article: Accessing and Using AltFee's Template Library

• Open AltFee's platform and navigate to the guideline index page.

• Look for the template library button on the left-hand navigation menu.

• In the top right-hand corner, locate the browse template button and click on it.

• This will open AltFee's ever-growing list of guideline types for you to explore.

• On the right-hand side, you will find the option to show my practice areas only.

• Select this option if you want to restrict the list to the practice areas added by your law firm.

• If you prefer to see all the available templates, leave this option unselected.

• Scroll through the list of templates organized by practice area, category, and template name.

• If you have a specific template in mind, you can use the search bar to find it quickly.

• For example, if you're looking for a review of an employment agreement, enter relevant keywords in the search bar.

• Click on the template you are interested in to access AltFee's version of it.

• The template will display a list of factors to consider and placeholder dollar amounts.

• This provides an idea of how the template can be structured when customized.

• If you like the template and want to utilize it, click on the "Use this template" button in the top right-hand corner.

• You will then have the option to revise the guideline's name, adjust the practice area, and modify the category if needed.

• Make the necessary changes and proceed to create the customized template.

• After creating the customized template, it will now be added to your law firm's account.

• Any customization you make, such as adjusting factors or dollar amounts, will be specific to your account within AltFee.
